Picnics can be very simple or very extravagant. It all depends on the occasion, number of people, and of course, your budget. No matter what type of picnic you are planning there will be basic picnic supplies that you will need. You may be surprised at how many items are on the list! Of course, a picnic to some may involve throwing some paper plates and sandwiches into a brown paper bag and heading to the nearest park. Whatever works for you…just as long as you have fun!

Plates - paper, plastic or fine china will do. It all depends on the type of picnic you are planning. White paper plates may not be the best choice if you are planning a romantic picnic for two!

Cups or Glassware - Again, choose accordingly
Cutting Board and Knife - A must for a cheese and wine picnic or if you are planning on cutting up fresh fruit as you lounge under an Oak tree!
Blanket or Old Quilt - Another must have if you are going to eat on the ground!
Napkins - paper or cloth
Tablecloth - Useful if you are planning on using a picnic table!
Corkscrew - A necessity for opening wine
Bottle Opener- For those of you that will partake in a few “cold ones” while picnicking!
Paper Towels and Wet Wipes - Makes for easy clean-up
Garbage Bags - ALWAYS clean up after your picnic. Leave Mother Nature just as you found her…if not cleaner!
Insect Repellent - This is most definitely a MUST! Mosquitoes can quickly put an end to your outdoor adventure!
Sun Protection - Don’t let those UV Rays get you!
